The landscape in the Sambirano valley in the north of Madagascar is a blaze of colour, where luxuriant cocoa trees grow among fragrant fields of vanilla and ylang-ylang,... The men on the plantation grow cocoa the traditional way, to the rhythm of the Sambirano river. The washing of the beans after fermentation is reminiscent of an ancestral rite. Only limited quantities of each vintage are available. They yellow fruit flavours combined with the citrus notes offer a unique tasting experience.

With an exceptional 50% cacao content, the world's first '1er Cru de Plantation' milk chocolate is composed of very characteristic, light-coloured beans produced by the 'Mangaro' plantation in the north-west island of Madagascar. It expresses, in a highly refined blend, notes of caramel, exotic fruits, pain d'epices spice cake and honey, completed in the finale, with sultanas."
